It is a privilege for Phillips Harvey Group to service a variety of not-for-profit organizations. The leaders of these establishments value advisors who are heavily involved in the not-for-profit sector. The mission of each organization becomes our mission as we serve the organization in all capacities. Phillips Harvey Group is committed to providing organizations with personal service and best practice information. They want to ensure that organizations can perform at the highest level to be able to continue to spread their mission within the local community. We pride ourselves on our passion for understanding the ins and outs of each organization, which allows us to provide industry knowledge that enhances the mission of each organization. Our firm is well-equipped with knowledge and we stay updated on various accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements in the not-for-profit sector.

Sweeping changes in not for profit reporting occurred due to the Financial Accounting Standard Board (FASB) issuing new reporting standards. These new rules are designed to help financial statement users better understand a nonprofit’s mission and financial picture and are geared on how not-for-profit organizations present a variety of financial information – including net assets, expenses, available resources, and operating cash flows.  Fortunately, PHG is heavily experienced in providing professional services to a wide array of not for profit segments, including community development agencies, education organizations, private foundations, professional societies, public charities, religious organizations and trade associations.  With that in mind, PHG brings the expertise to handle all of your accounting, audit and tax needs.  In addition to these services, we provide specialty type not-for-profit services including but not limited to:

  • A-133 and the State Single Audit(s)
  • 1023 Tax Form Exemption filings
